These popular sneakers were first released in 1968 as training shoes for athletes. As one of the first adidas models with a suede upper, they were lighter and more breathable. Offered in over twenty colorways by the mid-1970s, the Gazelle gradually gained popularity among the general public and subcultures (like the hip-hop community) and was worn by celebrities such as Kate Moss, Oasis members, David Beckham, and currently Harry Styles.
